Oakleaf Play Area

Managed by: East Sussex County Council and Polegate Town Council.

Polegate War Memorial Recreation Ground

Managed by: Polegate Town Council. Adjacent to the main entrance is a dedicatory plaque mounted on a rough granite plinth, surrounded by green gravel and edged by kerb stones. The land was gifted in 1922 as a memorial to those who gave their lives in World War 1. The names of the fallen are inscribed in the church rather than at the recreation ground.

Danehill Recreation Ground

This is a large green space with a tarmac play area, two tennis courts and football pitches. Also there are two barbeques and with benches and tables.

Darch’s Wood

Darch’s Wood is an area of outstanding woodland and covers 42 acres with natural paths throughout. Access to Darch’s Wood is via Back Lane, Cross in Hand, New Pond Hill, Cross in Hand and St Bartholomews, Cross in Hand which is situated on A267.

Diplocks Wood

A stunning coppiced woodland loved by local dogwalkers in Polegate.

Punnett’s Town Recreation Ground

Managed by: Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council. This is an open recreation ground, football pitch, a children’s play area with a multi play unit and swings as well as a car park.

Leeves Common Recreation Area

Managed by: Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council. This is an open recreation ground with toddler and junior swings, junior multi-play and a basketball court.

Hardy Roberts Recreation Ground

Managed by: Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council. There is rugby pitch and training area, tennis courts, an outdoor bowling green, a children’s play area and car park.
